Trump and Xi Offer Concessions in Trade Talks but Future Remains Uncertain

U.S. President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping met in Osaka, Japan, on Saturday, agreeing to restart trade talks with each party returning to the negotiation table offering certain concessions. As romaine and iceberg lettuce crops grown in the Salinas Valley were destroyed by the mid-June heatwave, the prices of both have tripled in many stores around Northern California.
